Celebrating Sustainability As A Maven
Celebrating Sustainability As A Maven
Being a Maven means many things, including creating an impact for our planet. From winding trails to rushing rivers, small businesses to entire communities, we’re committed to keeping Colorado whole through efforts that start within these four walls and extends far beyond.
This year for Earth Month, we’re highlighting how you can become a Maven of sustainability alongside us not just today, but every time you choose The Maven.
There are countless ways to live sustainably in 2026, and every action – big or small – makes a difference. With so many guests passing through our doors, we’ve made it easy for each of you to give back in simple, impactful ways.
We’ve been a proud partner of Hotels For Trees for several years, contributing to the repopulation of forests nationwide. When you stay at The Maven, there are two ways you can participate in Hotels For Trees:
- $1 of every reusable water bottle sold in-room is donated, which directly correlates to one tree planted per bottle
- 1 tree is donated each night a member stays with us
Because single-use plastic is a thing of the past, we’ve replaced in-room water bottles with reusable options which can be refilled at the water stations on each floor.
We’re also thrilled to announce that we will soon become official partners with BioGreen360, which will help us in our efforts to reduce and recycle food waste at Kachina Cantina, Poka Lola Social Club, and Denver Milk Market.
The Maven is located in the heart of one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in Denver – home to colorful art, high-energy sports games, and most importantly, a thriving community of small businesses that bring a sense of belonging and discovery to our corner of the city.
Dairy Block is home to over a dozen local businesses, and we’re committed to connecting our guests to the true essence of Denver through each one. With global influences and distinct perspectives, every business tells its own story through food, art, and experience.
Through our Destination Amenity Fee program, we’re proud to partner with these businesses by offering exclusive perks that encourage exploration. From wines at Blanchard Family Wines, to one-of-a-kind art pieces at Finn’s Studio, vintage pieces at Vintage Label, MICHELIN-quality ingredients at BRUTØ, or expertly potted plants at Only Plants, each stop is an invitation to experience passion in action.
We also work with a broader range of local businesses in monthly pop-up events in The Maven lobby, aiming to bring awareness to their mission and continue to build a sense of community.
We’re honored to carry items from Procure Impact at The Maven. Procure Impact is a B2B marketplace with a focus on increasing access to the dignity of work for individuals with underestimated potential. We purchase everything from snacks, to in-room amenities and more from Procure Impact which directly translates to providing work opportunities and hours to struggling communities. In 2025, we contributed 183.65 hours of work.
Transportation has become a headache for more reasons than one -- but fortunately, we’re located in one of the city’s most walkable neighborhoods. Just steps from our door, you’ll find some of the city’s best restaurants, art museums, sports venues, concert spaces, and more, all within easy reach–making it easier to explore while making things a little greener.
When you decide to stay at The Maven, you’re a part of something bigger: a greener environment, a stronger community, and a more thoughtful way to travel. Learn more about our sustainability efforts, book your stay, or become a member.
