SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES….
With the arrival of October, the shadows grow longer, the air hums with mischief, and downtown Denver comes alive with Halloween mystique that invites you to embrace a little mystery. From spooky cocktail bars and Dia De Los Muertos celebrations, drag brunches and haunted ghost tours, there’s no shortage of ways to welcome the mysterious side of fall in the Mile High City.
This October, discover a chilling calendar of Halloween events in Denver where you can lean into the wicked, the wonderful, and the devilishly delightful.
POKA LUNA BECKONS
Something brews in velvet shadows, with potions and peril, spells and seance, moonlit mystique and enchantments at every turn. Poka Luna returns this month with a new menu of haunting twists on elevated classics, delicious bites, and Halloween events that hum with moody intrigue.
Your fate awaits at Tarot Tuesdays, chaos reigns at Voodoo Vinyl Saturdays, and your inhibitions disappear with every sip of the Cursed Skull or Night Of The Hunt. With a menu inspired by some of the most iconic horror movies, Halloween classics, and seasonal flavors, something new waits around every corner and in every glass. But beware, you might just fall under Poka Luna’s spell.
Then, things will get a little feral on October 16th with their Howl At The Moon Party from 5 - 7pm. In partnership with Tito’s Vodka, you can bring your favorite 4-legged date along for a night under the moonlight. There will be spooky cocktails, dog tag engraving, a dog costume contest, and a few surprises along the way.
From there, the Twilight Saga continues at Poka Luna on October 24th and the question is simple: team Edward or team Jacob? Order a cocktail based on your allegiance and at the end of the night, the team will tally up the votes to see which side reigns supreme: vampires, or werewolves. There will also be live music, bites, and an Edward Cullen lookalike contest!
Close out spooky season and join us on October 30 for Disco Mystique, an eerily elevated and exquisitely epic Halloween bash. Step through the doors and you're transported to somewhere otherworldly, with ethereal performances, killer drinks, and music that beckons you to dance long into the night.

DISCOVER THE TRADITIONS OF THE SEASON
At Kachina Cantina, fall brings an opportunity to celebrate tradition, ingredients, and cultures. To wrap up Hispanic Heritage Month, Kachina is serving a limited time Huarche special with blue masa, suadero, cotija and asadero, and cherry guajillo. Kachina Cantina puts a special focus on indigenous ingredients and the spirit of the land, which makes this dish an extra special homage to history. Grab this special before the end of Hispanic Heritage Month on October 15th.
Kachina Cantina is also putting extra emphasis on Día De Los Muertos this season, with celebratory events, specials, and a locally made ofrenda.
In partnership with local business Skulls By Adriana, we invite you to stop in for Sips & Sugar Skulls (October 10 and October 30), a creative afternoon where you can decorate your very own sugar skull (hand made by Adriana Gonzalez with real sugar) while sipping a marg.
If you need a bite during your craft, Kachina is also serving up a Mole Negro Lamb Torta featuring lamb, roasted tomato, and mole negro, only available from October 29 - November 2. On your way out, stop by the ofrenda to place a photo of a loved one to help us create a shared place of remembrance.

BRUNCH IF YOU DARE
Warm up your vocal chords and get ready to scream at Denver Milk Market’s Scream Queens, a wonderfully wicked version of their weekly drag bingo brunch on October 25.
Dress to impress but beware, there might be a few surprises in your future. Their Halloween costume contest is no trick: they’re giving away $150 gift card to the market for first prize and $75 gift card for second, so hold nothing back and go all out.
