Baseball On The Block
Baseball On The Block
Baseball season returns to Denver this week, and we’re playing it our way. From purple cocktails, to food specials, to high energy crowds, Lodo and Dairy Block become a purple wave of excitement for Opening Weekend at Coors Field.
We’ve pulled out all the stops this year, so don your favorite gear and head down to the Block for plenty of ways to celebrate.
The patio is calling your name at Kachina Cantina with unimpeded views of Coors Field and plenty of purple. They’re kicking things off at 11am with baseball-ready specials for you and your game day crew.
Post up on the patio and dive into bites like their Guacamole or Salsa Trio for the table, and don’t forget to visit the Esquites Cart for a classic hand held bite. You can also raise a glass (or 6) with the House Margarita Pitcher for $30 to get the ball rolling, which holds 6 margaritas for the group.
Show your purple pride with the Margarita On The Rockies, which has finally returned to the menu for the season, made with butterfly pea and glitter to complete the look.
Take a peek at all the game day specials or make a reservation here.
The perfect pregame does exist, and it’s at Poka Lola. With baseball season, a specialty menu arrives at this Dairy Block favorite bringing themed cocktails, fastball bites, and entertainment that’ll have you ready and eager for an afternoon at the ballpark.
The masters behind the bar have pulled out all the stops this Opening Day with specials like You’re Killing Me, Smalls, made with Old Forester Rye, lemon, and honey, or The Benchwarmer with Family Jones Vodka, lemon, Red Bull, and purple glitter. For a quick hit, they’ll also be serving pickle shots with Mythology Vodka and housemade pickle brine.
They won’t have peanuts or Cracker Jacks, but Poka Lola will be launching their brand new House Ranch Popcorn to munch on.
The fun doesn’t stop after the game: be sure to return at 7pm for the 7th Inning Shot Special, where you can get $7 shots, ONLY at 7pm.
Poka Lola will be opening early at 12pm on Friday, April 3rd for Opening Day, so gear up, head down, and let’s play ball!
Hey, batter batter! Denver Milk Market is also celebrating the return of baseball season with several game day specials, live music, and more.
They’re seeing purple with cocktails like the Rockies Margarita with El Jimador and triple sec, and the Rocky Mountain Lemonade with Tito’s Vodka, cherry syrup, and blue curacao. Vendors from around the Market will also be highlighting small, specialty bites for you to grab on the go, like Rockpile Dumplings from Yumcha, the Soft Pretzel from BOS, and other featured bites from Fuso, Konjo Ethiopian Food, and Lucky Bird.
You can also soak up the upbeat, all-American sounds of David Lawrence & The Spoonful from 12–2pm before heading just down the street to Coors Field for the game.
The Maven is getting in on the action, too. From 11am - 2pm, Ember & Stitch will be onsite with custom branding – stop by to stamp a festive purple bandana, or bring your own baseball glove (real leather only!) for a personalized touch that’ll have you stadium-ready and reaching for every foul ball.
While you’re here, swing through the lobby for a sweet pre-game treat. Romero Cookies will also be popping up from 11am - 2pm with Mexican Wedding Cookies, Pecan Cinnamon Cookies, and Churro Cookies – perfect for fueling up before first pitch.
Thinking about making a day of it? Turn game day into a full-on getaway this Friday with 20% off your stay when you show your ticket. Just a block from Coors Field, The Maven keeps you close to the action without the hassle – no crowds, no traffic, no parking stress – just more time to soak it all in and cheer on the home team.
From pre-game buzz to post-win celebrations, book your stay for an experience that goes beyond the ballpark.
Experience all the energy of Opening Day – without the crowds of Coors Field – by hosting a curated watch party at The Maven Hotel. Set in the heart of Dairy Block, you’ll be immersed in the buzz of the day while enjoying the comfort of your own dedicated space.
Choose your perfect game day setting – whether that’s the lively, cocktail-forward atmosphere of Poka Lola, the bold flavors and vibrant energy of Kachina Cantina, or a more elevated, private experience in the Windsor Ballroom.
