Dusk at Dairy Block
Dusk at Dairy Block
December sunsets may come early, but Downtown Denver holiday lights keep the nights glowing with festive spirit (and a few tasty spirits, too). From our own North PL holiday pop-up at Poka Lola to Good Tidings at Run For The Roses and beyond, the streets are anything but sleepy after dark. So, bundle up in your most fabulous jacket and dive into your next Denver winter nightlife adventure: after hours.
Your night begins with Shot Ski & Whiskeys – your very own Woodford Reserve whiskey shooters delivered right to your room on a ski, so you can freestyle your way into the night.
After you’ve ensured you’re warmed from the inside out, head downstairs to a magical winter hideaway at The North PL, a cozy escape with seasonal Denver cocktails, holiday drinks, and festive bites. On chilly nights order the Zamboni Jabroni, a hot cocktail of Old Forester Rye, Smith & Cross Jamaican Rum, honey, and lemon, or the Feliz Navichata (an homage to our head bartender’s home of New Mexico): a comforting blend of Red Chili-infused Real de Valle Reposado, cinnamon, vanilla, and rice.
Every great night starts with great food, so be sure to check out the brand new Denver food and drink menu while you’re cozying up at The North PL. From the butter-poached Lobster Corn Dog to Crab Dip with Ritz, Crispy Frites, and zesty Lemon Pepper Chicken Lollipops, you’ll be savoring the best bites on the block—perfect fuel for a night out in Downtown Denver.
With the end of North PL beings a whole new party: the 2025 APOKALYPSE. When the clock strikes midnight on December 31st, we'll say farewell to 2025 at Poka Lola with the last dance, the New Years Eve End of Days, the zombie bash! Enter a place where cocktails are radioactive, the beats are undead, and the dress code calls for killer looks only. Dance through the fallout: tickets are $25 and include a complimentary glass of champagne to toast to the end of 2025.

Next stop: Denver Union Station. This year Union Station has transformed into an elegant Denver holiday attraction with cozy corners to snuggle up in, towering Christmas trees, and an aura of cheerful welcome. Head through the lights to Miracle at Union Station, a whimsical holiday pop-up bar with over-the-top décor and seasonal cocktails.
As you make your way around downtown, be sure to look up every once in a while for the chance to catch a glimpse of the Mile High Drone Show, a nightly event through December 31st featuring 600 drones against the night sky showcasing holiday themes and Denver skyline moments.
End the night right here on Dairy Block with a visit to Good Tidings, the holiday pop-up at Run For The Roses. Normally an intimate, underground bar, Run For The Roses is now decked with lights, wreaths, stockings, tinsel, and more, and is the perfect spot for a Denver nightcap before heading back to The Maven. After settling in you can opt to try a libation from their year-round menu, crafted as a deck of cards, or indulge in one of their holiday specials like the Espresso Martini with peppermint mocha and a thin mint whipped cream float.
If a stellar glass of whiskey is more your vibe, be sure to check out Seven Grand (located right here at Dairy Block) with our Spirits of The West guest add-on. When you purchase this add-on with your stay, you'll explore the rich flavors of the spirit of your choice with a curated, private tasting with one of their master mixologists.
City Secrets… stop by Hell or High Water Denver, tucked away on Blake Street, to experience their Mean One-themed tiki bar and edgy cocktails. For a more laid-back vibe, head to Pony Up for a modern hole-in the wall aura with killer drinks and elevated pub grub. Craving a cheesy slice instead? Stop by SliceWorks Denver for a late-night slice of NY-style pizza.
Your next Denver holiday night out is already brimming with festive cheer and buzzing with energy, and The Maven Hotel is the perfect home base for your next Dusk at Dairy Block adventure.
